Permanent Contract  Part Time 18.5 hours (Wednesday part day, Thursday and Friday)

West Mercia Youth Offending Service operates across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Worcestershire, covering a youth population of approximately 112,800 (10 to 17 year olds). The service is hosted by the Office of the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner on behalf of the four local authorities and is currently the only youth justice service in such a hosting arrangement nationally. Services are delivered from multi-disciplinary teams aligned to the four local authority areas. 

An opportunity has arisen for a part time team administrator for our team based in Telford. The post is responsible for data entry and maintenance of accurate records and systems both computerised and manual relating to the service including word processing correspondence, reports, meeting notes and other documents as required and being responsible for specific financial procedure, e.g. petty cash. 

The successful candidate will hold a level 2 qualification, have experience of working in an administrative role within a large and complex organisation, experience of responding to contact from customers and/or members of the public, good organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, effective communication skills both verbal and written, good literacy skills in order to draft and format documents, ability to provide good customer service to service users and partner organisations, ability to work as a member of a team with a flexible approach, ability to maintain strict confidentiality, ability to use IT equipment and software with confidence.
